Matt Meola naar Oxbow
Nog maar 21 jaar jong en nu al een van de grootste surf talenten die op deze aarde rondloopt; Matt Meola uit Hawaii, die nu het team van Oxbow gaat versterken.
Door zijn radicale aerials en ‘aggresieve’ stijl is hij een van de meest creatieve surfers van zijn generatie geworden. ‘Born and raised’ op Maui heeft hij een diepe band met de zee en is hij altijd op zoek naar nieuwe uitdagingen en avontuur.
Meola is erg blij met zijn overstap naar Oxbow; ”I am very excited to be joining the Oxbow team. I have always been intrigued by the brand and the diversity of the riders” aldus Matt. ”Oxbow really understands the concept of free surfing. Recently, I made my first trip to France and loved the whole experience – the people, the food and the women. I look forward to what the future holds.”
Met zijn complete toewijding aan het surfen geeft Meola Oxbow nieuwe, creatieve impulsen.
Hij wordt ongetwijfeld een van de leidende surfers van de surfers afdeling bij Oxbow, samen met rijders als Kai Lenny en Antoine Delpero.
Ook Oxbow is natuurlijk blij met de komst van Meola: ”During his last trip to Europe, Matt did an interview which was decisive in our choice to get him into the team. De komst van Meola in het team komt op een belangrijk moment voor Oxbow. Het merk is al een tijdje bezig aan de repositionering van het merk in het de wereld van de board sporten.

Matt Meola zal zijn eigen deel krijgen in Taylor Steel’s nieuwe film ”Innersection”. Een preview hiervan staat gepland in Maui op 26 november.
