Six weeks on the North Shore

In een week als deze hebben we eigenlijk aan de zee al voldoende om ons te vermaken. Maar helaas is het surfen tot het donker in deze dagen nog niet zo laat als we zouden willen. Een layday tijdens Bell’s Beach helpt dan ook niet mee. Tijdens het surfen op YouTube stuitten we echter op deze video van Surfline. ‘Six weeks on the North Shore is echt een aanradertje!

It is a pilgrimage like no other, offering equal parts gore and glory. An island that’s as hostile as it is holy. A beachfront where the potential is envisioned, the consequences are real, and the bravest, most bewildering acts on boards of all shapes and sizes manifest in the most pressurized environment imaginable. It’s the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. And for at least six weeks every winter, there’s no place like it on Earth.
